Richfield Christmas Parade/Moms B-Day!

Our Christmas Tree!

Dent's Diesel in the parade
Friday was my moms birthday. I took Riley and Whitley down to Richfield and we had lunch with her. I got my hair cut, we did a little shopping then went to her house and just hung out with my kiddies. Brandon and I went out to Richfield the next day so Riley could be in the light parade in
Dents diesel. (My moms fiance) That's right - she got a diamond for her B-day! Congratulations Mom! Any way, it was fun to see Ry in the parade. After we rode around and looked at Christmas lights then went to Dent's house. We left at about 9:30 in a blizzard. There was only 2 inches of snow in Richfield, but when we got to Salina the was a foot no kidding I couldn't believe the difference in the amount of snow in just 15 miles. Then onto Centerfield, we only had a couple of inches. We were dissapointed after how bad the roads were we thought we would of had a foot as well. Oh well at least we have some snow - it just makes it feel so much more like Christmas! I can't believe there is only 13 more days until Christmas! Crazy - Crazy - Crazy!

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree!

Yes it's me - Scary I know!!! (The bundle of Red is Ry asleep)
"Our Family Outing"
Brandon with our Christmas tree!
(I will remember next time to flip it I promise!)

Well-well Sunday was a fun and exciting day for our family. We went and got our Christmas tree up 12 mile canyon. Brandons dad's girlfriend watched Whitley for us so there was me, Riley, Brandon, Brandons dad, Brandons sister, her husband and their daughter Kylee. (Oh and our dog Toby) We left around 11 a.m. and got back shortly before dark. The hunt for the perfect tree was a little harder this year than in the past. There was more snow this year than there was last year. We were on our Rhino and probably should of been on a snowmobile, but we managed. Ry fell asleep on my lap not long after we left so we made him a bed in the back of the Rhino and continued on. We searched for a long time before we found a tree. This years tree was a little more bare than our trees in the past. We brought the tree downstairs on Monday. I got all the colored lights on it then decided that the 2 foot bare spot was driving me nuts so I took the lights off and sawed the bottom 2 feet off of the tree. The whole time Brandon is just looking at be rolling his eyes like you crazy lady! So once we finished trimming the tree I decided to put green lights on the tree instead of colored lights. Riley kept saying he wanted to help so I let him help put ornaments on the tree. I put some beaded rope on the tree and he was taking it off as fast as I was putting it on saying it was his cowboy rope. That kid and his cowboy stuff about drives me and Brandon nuts. Maybe it's a good thing though our new rule is if he wants to wear his cowboy hat he has to pee in the toilet. If he has a accident the hat gets taken away. To earn it back he has to pee in the toilet again. So we will see how it works. Any way, the tree is up it's just a little short compared to the trees we've had in the years past.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Riley, Whitley, and Mrs. Clause
"The Salt Lake Temple" (Sorry it's sideways)
"Our Little Family on the Heber Creeper!"

Thanksgiving weekend was a lot of fun. Brandons grandpa and grandma Hansen took us to Midway, Utah to the Homestead for three nights. They rented two condos for the family. Everyone was there except for his cousin Cameron who is on a mission in Canada. On Thursday we had dinner at the Homestead at 4 p.m. it was really good food. They had everything imaginable. That night everybody was busy looking through the ads to see what was on sale the next morning. Most of the girls went into Park City because the outlets opened at midnight. I must be getting old, because my sleep is more important so I stayed at the condo and slept. On Saturday me and Tracy took Riley and Kiley for a walk. It was so cold that we walked really fast to get back to the condo and get warm. When we got back everybody watched a movie, but I took a good nap. That night we went and road the Heber Creeeper. The theme was the Polar Express. Grandma bought all the kids jammies to wear on the train. It was a lot of fun. Santa and Mrs. Clause and the elves were there. Santa came to see Riley, but he got scared. The elves came and asked all the kids what they wanted Santa to bring them. Riley told the elves he would like a horse trailer. On Saturday we went into Salt Lake and went to Temple Square. It was really pretty. Riley got to pet one of the Belgium horses that pull the carriage around temple square. We got hope late Saturday night. I got pulled over between Nephi and Levan. I did a booboo and passed in a double line and there was a cop behind me. Not good! But he forgave me. Sunday Riley said mom I'm glad to be home. We had a long week we had been in St. George for 5 days earlier in the week.

Hunting, camping, and Halloween

The kids on Halloween

Ry playing in the snow camping
OOur 2 Kiddies

So it's been three months since my last post - how bad is that. The reason is

because when my friend Jess showed me how to blog we had our kids right there so everything she tried to teach me went in one ear and out the other so I'm back for my second lesson without the kids so hopefully I will learn something so I can be a blogger.

Well last time I wrote we were getting ready to go deer hunting. Deer hunting was good - Brandon wasn't successful on getting a deer but we had some good family time. Riley loved

going for rides in the Rhino looking for deer.

About a month ago we went hunting for the last time of the year with Brandon's parents.

We left on a Friday afternoon and the weather was so nice. Saturday was a little cooler, but that afternoon it started to rain then came the snow. Sunday morning there was around 4 inches of snow on the ground so we wanted to get packed up before the sun melted the snow and made it too muddy. Any way, to make a long story short both Brandon and his parents ended up wrecking both their truck and trailers getting down the mountain. They are all very lucky to be alive. We know somebody was watching over them. (I was ahead of them in my car with Whitley so I didn't know anything had happened) Needless to say we still had a good weekend. Riley loved playing in the snow and spending time with his grandparents.

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. Riley understood what was going on which made it a lot of fun. I dressed up as a witch, Ry was Mickey Mouse, and Whitley was a Chunky cow. When we would knock on a door Ry would say trickin. We had a lot of fun.

I can't believe how fast time goes and that I have two kids. They are such good kids. Whitley is now sleeping through the night. She is so happy in the morning. Riley always goes up to her and says Whitley has chunky legs.
