I can't believe it has nearly been six weeks since I put something on our blog. The biggest thing that has happened in our life if Riley is finally potty-trained. We are so proud of him, and I will be honest I wondered if the day would ever come. We had tried off and on since right before I had Whitley and every time was a nightmare-I had pretty much given up. We kept thinking he was ready, but I guess he wasn't. He decided to do it on his own. My mom gave him some Cars under ware for valentines and he told me that he wanted to wear them. I told him no because I was sick of the accidents. He kept begging so I gave in and said ok but you have to promise and keep them dry or grandma Camille will be very upset. He said he promised and within a couple of days he had it down. Every time he went in the potty we would do a little dance and we would get so excited. He's so proud to be a big boy now and not wear diapers anymore. My mom made a deal with him that when he was potty trained she would buy him new cowboy boots and a new cowboy hat. So last weekend we went and spent the night at my moms. On Saturday we went to a cowboy store as Ry calls it and bought him new boots and a hat. He had told us that he wanted black boots and a new black hat for weeks, but at the cowboy store he wanted a pink hat and pink boots. It was to funny! Whitley is getting so big so fast. She is already seven months and it seems like I just had her yesterday. She loves to sit up and jump in her jumperoo! It's finally starting to warm up a little-I put Whitley in the swing on the swing set a couple of days ago for the first time and she loved it. I was doing dishes the other morning and I remember thinking that is was sure quiet and I hadn't heard Ry for a while but then thinking oh he is probably just in his room playing with the toys. Boy was I wrong he came in the kitchen a few minutes later and said mom look at my toes. I looked and couldn't believe what I saw. Toe polish from his toes clear up his little foot. Oh I said-it looks like you found the fingernail polish. Yep he said I did it myself. I couldn't get mad because I painted Whitley's toes the day before and forgot to put the polish away. (my bad) A few weeks ago I took the kids up to my dads house and we went to the snowmobile races. It was fun, but to slow for Ry he didn't have the patience to wait in between races so we went back to my dads house and he took him for a ride on the snowmobile then pulled him around on the sled. I can't believe that they only live 40 miles north of us and how much more snow they have. All of our snow is melted and they have a few feet. Crazy-Crazy-Crazy!
