Once again it has been a while since I posted. It is already December and time for all the holiday fun. Life has been crazy the last week and a half with me and all of the kids being sick. Brandon hasn't got any of it thank goodness. Me and Whit went to the doctor last Friday. I had had a sore throat for 5 days and my left eye was swollen shut with gunk and I could hardly speak so I thought it was time to go. Come to find out I had a eye infection and my throat was really inflamed. Whit had a ear infection in her left ear...her first one ever. Any way Kynlee had bumps all over her bum last week then on Friday she woke up and her entire body was covered in bumps. She also had bad eye goobers so I took her to the doctor yesterday and she had strep throat and a ear infection in the left ear as well. The strep throat is what was causing the bumps all over her body. I would have never taken her in if it wasn't for the bumps all over her. She had been her happy little self, not even a fever. She is such a good baby. Brandon has been super busy at work..he has been doing a lot of overtime because they are shorthanded. We have been pheasant hunting a few times but had no luck this year.

This year for Thanksgiving we stayed home and had dinner with the kids. We had never done that before. I think it was a good change. We got up that morning and cooked breakfast then started working on our turkey dinner. We ate around two then just relaxed and took it easy the rest of the day.

Santa came to Gunnison Market around the second week in November. Whit has always been terrified of him. She was so big this year. I was so proud of her. She got right up on his lap and told him she wanted zhu zhu pets and a present. Ry told him he wanted batman legos. Kyn didn't know what to think. By the time I had taken the picture she was ready to come make to mommy.

Riley is quite the kid. He is crazy about Batman. He has a Wii Batman game that he cannot get enough of. All he talks about it getting to the Joker on the game. He is doing very well in school. He thinks he needs a friend over to the house to play with everyday. He is sleeping downstairs so much better than he use to. He will finally stay downstairs to play and watch a movie now. We have started leaving him home alone a little bit like when I take Whit to preschool or if we take Toby for a run. Mommy is still his favorite person. He is just getting so big so fast. He is definitely the first born...he's Mr. Independent!

Whit is so funny we call her the newspaper reporter. She lets us know everything that is going on. If Ry or Kyn is doing something they shouldn't she lets us know. We always have to tell her just worry about you. She loves to rock-a-bye Kynlee and feed her a bottle. She is crazy about preschool and wants to go everyday. She loves to go to church so she can go to nursery...she goes to primary in January so it will be interesting to see how she does. She still packs her blankie with her everywhere she goes. It was pink at one time but now it's a dingy pink(brown). She wants to get dressed the minute she gets out of bed. She still likes her daddy more than anyone else. She is a very good helper around the house. She likes to play barbies, babies, do puzzles, color and read.

Miss Kynlee Ann is our little sunshine. She is such a happy baby! I have enjoyed her so much. She is really easy going. She still isn't crawling...but oh so close. She gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth. She rolls all over the house. She loves to clap her hands together. Mommy is her favorite person...she cries when I leave the room. She loves it when Ry and Whit play with her.

I am so excited for the holidays and the time that I get to share with those I love the most. I love the excitement it brings to my kids and most of all I love the reminder it brings of our Savior and all that he blesses us with. How grateful that I am that he gave his life so that all of us can be here. I feel so blessed to have all that I do in my life. I feel so fortunate to be able to stay home with my kids. It isn't always easy but I know it is worth it. I have a lot of people say to me I don't know how you can stand to be home all the time with your kids...I honestly can't imagine leaving them everyday to go to work. I am so grateful for my husband who works so hard to provide for our family. I love and appreciate him so much!

A hunting we will go!

So Brandon has been busy elk and deer hunting the last couple of weeks...needless to say I am glad that they are over. It will be nice to get back to somewhat of a normal schedule and have my hubby home again. Unfortunately Brandon wasn't able to get a elk or a deer but I think he definitely enjoyed his time hunting with friends, his dad, his kids, and me his wife. Ry went and stayed a night up the mountain and Whit stayed two nights. Me and Kynlee went and visited for a day. Last weekend me, Ry, and Kynlee went to St. George. While we were there on Friday I went to Thriller at the Tuachan with Brandon's mom, step dad, sister and brother-in-law. It was so neat...I am making Brandon go with me next year...I enjoyed every minute of it. Saturday morning I got up at 6a.m. to head to Vegas to go to Time out for Women with Brandon's mom, sister, grandma and great aunt. We had such a good time. I really enjoy this conference. I went last year in St. George. It is our little family tradition with the girls on his mom's side.
So for Halloween this year Ry was Batman(of course), Whit was Snow-white, and Kyn was a pumpkin. I got Brandon up at 5:30 to go with us. He is such a good sport. He had less than 4 hours of sleep. We left our house at 6 and went and trick or treated at a lot of the homes on the west side of Centerfield. The kids loved it...they had so much fun. Our last two stops were grandparents houses. While we were out trick or treating Kynlee said moma for the first time. I was super excited!!!

A little bit of everything!

Riley and Mrs. Nielson

Kim and Whitley on the first day of preschool

Whitley on the first day of preschool

The last time I posted the kids were just getting ready to start school. Not a lot has happened since that time. Riley is liking kindergarten for the most part. It was quite an adjustment going from 2 days a week to 5 days a week, and getting up at 7 in the morning when he use to get up whenever and take his time before he got on the bus for preschool. But overall I think he has done very well. When I went to parent conference his teacher told me by the end of the year she wanted him to be able to count to 100. I told her he already does that. He love numbers and already does addition. He is learning to read and is doing great. He has word lists that we go over 5 times every night. He is really into batman right now. I suprised him with a batman shirt yesterday when he got home from school...that just made his day. He asked me if next time when i'm out shopping could I get him some batman underwear. So what is he going to be for Halloween???? Batman of course. He has made some new friends at school and loves to have them over to play....everyday would be great if we would let him!
Little miss Whitley started preschool Tuesday after Labor Day and loves it. She thinks she is pretty neat now that she gets to go to school to. She wishes she could go everyday. She is such a happy girl and is happy to do whatever. It doesn't matter if it's helping daddy in his shop or playing dolls she is up for anything. She still takes 2 to 3 hour naps everyday. She loves to read books and watch movies. Right now her favorite ones are Flicka and Beauty and the Beast. Those are a must see for her at least once everyday. She loves to be outside swinging, riding her bike, driving her 4 wheeler, playing with the neighbor girl or playing with the dogs. The second she gets up in the morning she wants to get dressed and go outside. I don't know what were going to do when winter comes!
Kynlee is now 7 1/2 months old. She is just over 18 lbs. She is such a good baby. She started saying da da at 7 months and sitting up. She loves any kind of baby food. She is rolling all over the house. I'm trying to really enjoy this stage before she is crawling and into everything. Some of her favorite things right now include her blankie and her bottle, watching Ry and Whit, being outside, swinging in the swing on the swingset, going for walks or bikerides, bathtime and splashing, and jumping in her jumperoo.
Brandon has been busy hunting and will be for the next couple weeks. I am so glad he has been able to spend so much time up on the mountain this year. He loves it up there. He took Ry and Whit with him tonight. They are staying for a couple days. My mom watched the kids a couple weeks ago so him and I could go for a 4 wheeler ride and see all the leaves. It was so pretty and so nice to spend some time just the two of us. I have been busy being mom and a wife. I don't feel like I ever stop going..I guess that is good in some ways. I had Bunco at my house last week so I had been busy preparing for that. Me and the girls had such a good time. I look forward to my one night a month out with the ladies!
