This past week Brandon and I took the kids up to Bear World, Island Park, and Yellowstone. We went with a lot of my moms side of the family and really had a good time. The first day we drove to Pocatello and stayed the night at a holiday inn. We took the kids swimming and just relaxed after a long day of driving. The next morning we got up and went to Bear World just outside of Rexburg. It was a really neat experience. You drive through the park in your car and look at bears, elk, goats, deer. At the end you get out and they have rides and you can feed the bear cubs. (We didn't do that part) The kids really liked being able to see all these animals up close. After we left there we drove to island park and stayed four days. On Friday we went on a raft ride down the river-it takes about four hours. Last year I had a good time doing this, but this year wasn't quite as good. Brandon had Ry in his raft and I had Whit in my raft. She did really good as long as I kept something in her mouth. Not long after we started I noticed that I had a hole in my raft. About halfway through the rafting trip my boat was so flat I could hardly go-it didn't matter how hard I paddled. Brandon was a long way ahead of me with Ry because Ry had to go #2 and there was no convincing him of going in the weeds. So by the time I got to the end of the trip I was bawling and in bad shape. Too make matters worse I was standing near one of the trucks as they were loading the rafts onto the truck and got wiped in the face my a thick rubber strap. I started to bawl again. It just wasn't my day. Any way, we all have to get over it and move on. The next day(Saturday the 4th) we went out on Dents pontoon and pulled the kids around on a water weiney type thing. Ry loved it. That night we went back down to the resivor and watched the fireworks over the lake. It was really pretty and neat. On Sunday we packed up and headed into the park. In the park we say elk, deer, and buffalo. We stayed in Jackson Hole that night. Monday we got up had breakfast and headed for home. We got home about 5:30p.m. it was a really long ride in the car, but the kids did great.
While we were gone they got the trusses up on the addition and garage, and got them both sheeted. Now it is Brandon's turn to pretty much finish the rest.
Whitley is getting so big and saying so many words. She just started saying Riley, Brandon, I want it, I dropped it, please, sorry, thanks, love you. Thats just a few of what I can think of for now. I think Riley is bored at our house. I need to find him some kids to play with. He gets sick of hanging with us. That pretty much sums up what we have been up to lately!
